THE DETAILS.
What is Beach Hobby Horsing?
Beach Hobby Horsing (BHH) is a beach-based racing format built around hobby horses, simultaneous starts and obstacles. It brings the physical challenge of hobby horsing into a fast-paced, head-to-head format.
How does a BHH race work?
Competitors line up in parallel lanes, start on the same signal and clear a sequence of hurdles on the sand. The format emphasizes speed, technique and a clean run to the finish.
What equipment do competitors use?
The signature equipment is a hobby horse — a plush horse head attached to a stick. Each competitor holds the hobby horse between their legs while moving through the course.
